The 22nd Conference on Data-Driven Healthcare and Cybersecurity

On the 25th of April 2024, the Semmelweis University Health Services Management Training Centre, the leading institute of the Health Safety National Laboratory Data-Driven Health Division, in cooperation with the Hungarian Healthcare Management Association, organized the 22nd Data-Driven Healthcare and Cybersecurity Conference.

    This year's summit focused on the transformation of the healthcare sector through artificial intelligence.

    The conference was opened by the organizers of the professional programme, Dr. Tamás Palicz, Deputy Director of HSMTC, expert in healthcare cybersecurity, and Dr. Tamás Joó, Deputy Head of Division, national expert in data-driven healthcare.

    The Competitiveness Strategy presented at the conference pays special attention to the healthcare industry, aiming at improving export capability and developing data-driven healthcare.

    For healthcare companies, the European Commission's NIS2 Directive has created a new regulatory environment for cybersecurity, for which the preparations are already in progress.

    In addition to cybersecurity risks, the presentations at the conference explored the professional opportunities and issues presented by artificial intelligence, including the challenges facing the healthcare sector, the development and infrastructure opportunities provided by the EESZT, the role of national laboratories in the digital transformation of healthcare, and pharmaceutical research.

    The presentations in each session were accompanied by a lively professional discussion, which made sure that the professional programme of the conference covered real and significant topics and problems of multidisciplinary interest.

    The success of the conference was supported by numerous media appearances with leading experts of our division, Dr. Tamás Palicz and Dr. Tamás Joó - nearly 50 articles, TV and radio interviews, reports and podcasts were produced.
