The conference, which attracted international participants, provided a unique opportunity for the stakeholder community to explore the latest developments in ehealth and cybersecurity, the current challenges and the opportunities for the future.
The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), in cooperation with the Semmelweis University Health Services Management Training Centre (HSMTC) and the National Cyber Security Center, organised the 9th eHealth Security Conference on 6 November 2024 at the Nagyvárad tér Theoretical Building of the Semmelweis University.
Dr. Tamás Palicz, Deputy Director for Strategy at HSMTC and expert of the colleague of the National Laboratory for Health Security Data-Driven Health Division, was a member of the organizing committee and participated in the conference as a speaker and moderator of the 3rd session. His presentation detailed the challenges and opportunities associated with the human aspects of the NIS2 regulation and the changes surrounding the implementation of the new regulation, which will significantly impact healthcare organizations' operations.
The conference covered the latest regulatory developments on cybersecurity in the sector, the challenges of medical data sharing and new cyber threats, and future opportunities.
