This year, for the first time, data-driven healthcare was represented with eight presentations at the 2024 TDK conference organised by Semmelweis University.
From 7-9 February 2024, for the 68th time, the of Students’ Scientific Conference Semmelweis University (Tudományos Diákköri Konferencia, TDK) took place in Budapest at the Semmelweis University. For the Health Safety National Laboratory Data-Driven Health Division it was a particularly valuable event because this year, for the first time, data-driven healthcare was also represented, introducing itself as a new topic and section in the TDK lecture series. Three students represented the Semmelweis University Health Services Management Training Centre (SE EMK) with the following topics and results: - János Domonkos Stubnya, 5th year medical student (Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine), presented his topic entitled A complex, data-driven study of the long-term effectiveness of the Public Health Product Tax (NETA). The subject leader was dr. Tamás Joó, Assistant Professor of SE EMK. The presentation was recommended by the refereeing committee for participation in the National Scientific Student Conference (OTDK). - Ágota Kállay, a third-year student of the Semmelweis University Faculty of Health and Public Administration presented her presentation entitled "Development of a data-driven healthcare policy decision support framework for the systemic implementation of artificial intelligence-based healthcare solutions". The presentation was supported by Dr. Tamás Joó as a subject leader. - Regina Csóka, a third-year student of the Semmelweis University Faculty of Health and Public Administration, was co-mentored by Katalin Nistor, assistant professor of the SE EMK and Dr. Tamás Joó as subject leaders. Regina Csóka's presentation was titled as Preliminary results of the 2023 study of the Digital Healthcare Mobile Centre Pilot (skill lab, artificial intelligence and data-driven healthcare).
